Names

This semester, I teach quite big classes, quite a number of students. The interesting part is when I have to take their attendance. I find that a similar pronunciation can be derived from different spelling names. For instance Rifki, Rifky, Rivki, Rivky, Rifqi, and Rifqy are pronounced similarly. Somehow in Bahasa Indonesia, the pronunciation of 'v' and 'f' in a word are somehow similar, as far as I'm concerned. So, in a way to take their attendance, I have to be careful of which name belongs to which spelling 😁
Anyways.
It's interesting to share this experience, tho.
